You might be going back home with a gleeful mind after buying a new mobile phone. However, in midst of everything you need to take care of mobile insurance fraud. There are many fraudsters in the UK who are continuously making new mobile users fool by offering illegal insurance quotes. In the past 18 months the mobile users in Swansea had been complaining of mobile insurance fraud. You might also get into the trap if you do not take adequate precautions.

One of the victims of such fraudulent activities was Rebekah Swift. She told to BBC Radio 4’s Money Box programme that her son got a call from a fraud who asked him to take a mobile insurance. The fraud told Rebekah’s son that the call was from Carphone Warehouse. The thought of the cheaper insurance plan offered by the fraud delighted him and Rebekah. Both decided that they should go for it. After all it won’t be a bad idea for securing their newly bought iPhone.

Then Rebekah gave the debit card details and finally, she was rejoicing over the cheap insurance plan. In no time she then got a text from Carphone Warehouse alerting them about the mobile insurance scam. But the scam already took place. The swift were repenting over the scam which left them no where. The incident of Rebekah is one of the many scams which had happened with hundreds of people across the United Kingdom. Trading Standards has warned mobile enthusiasts about the consequences of fraudulent mobile insurances.
