Amongst all announced and released handsets to woo gatherings at the Samsung booth at MWC, Samsung i8910 Omnia HD went on to capture the limelight. Omnia i8910 version can literally be called the big ‘O’ with a monstrous touch intuitive, full-bodied display that envelopes the handset totally. This implausibly power-packed handset is announced in February 2009 and is expected to release in the second quarter of this year.

The Samsung Omnia HD features specifications that would be unprecedented in the world of GSM mobile handsets. Though the display is enormous and enticing enough with 3.7 inches OLED touch sensitive screen with capacity to view 16 million colours at the resolution of 640x360 pixels to remain awestruck, however, rest of the features are too extraordinary to miss. Such as, its 8 megapixel camera features 720p HD video recording ability at 24fps for the first time in the mobile industry, making headlines even before its launch. Plus this 8 MP shooter is further loaded with geo-tagging, Wide Dynamic Range setting, smile shot, Face Detection, LED flash etc.

Another noteworthy power packed feature Omnia i8910 HD is equipped with is OS – latest version of Symbian S60 5th smartphone touch UI. Connectivity wise, this handset is again proven to be super smart with Wi-Fi with DLNA, microUSB port, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, 3.5mm audio jack, TV-out, GPS receiver with A-GPS and optional Samsung Mobile Navigator by Route66. However, without mentioning its colossal memory space and entertaining potential, we cannot come at the end of the discussion. Speaking about its colossal memory space, it comes in dual flavours - 8GB or 16GB with hot swappable microSD and it enables DivX/XviD video support.
